WHEN SHOULD YOU SEEK TESTING FOR COVID-19? UPDATED SYMPTOMS

Information from Vail Health and Eagle County Public Information Office on when folks should seek Testing. 

COVID-19 symptoms have expanded beyond fever, dry cough and shortness of breath to include: headache, body aches, earache, sore throat, loss of the sense of smell or taste, or sometimes abdominal pain, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Vail Health and Colorado Mountain Medical are now conducting COVID-19 testing for patients with these symptoms. Anyone who has difficulty breathing should seek medical care immediately by calling their healthcare provider or 911.

COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF LABOR & EMPLOYMENT

As one of several efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the state of Colorado is requiring employers in specific industries to provide four paid sick days for those with flu-like symptoms who are being tested for coronavirus.

The Colorado Health Emergency Leave with Pay (Colorado HELP) rules affect the following industries: Leisure and hospitality food services, community living facilities, child care facilities, home health workers serving the elderly Education Nursing homes

El Pomar Foundation announced the establishment of the Colorado Assistance Fund, a $1 million fund offering immediate aid to nonprofit organizations supporting Colorado communities, organizations, and individuals affected by the recent outbreak of COVID-19.

Business and Worker Impact Survey of COVID-19 Virus

We are working with the Business Retention Expansion BR|E COVID-19 Emergency Response Network, they have implemented a Business and Worker Impact Survey of COVID-19 Virus to ask businesses to tell us about the direct impacts COVID-19 is having on their operations.
