Oops, that bridge to the bright renewable energy future looks a little shaky. Natural gas, after all, still is a fossil fuel — a source we’ll soon enough view as primitive as whale oil and dangerously polluting. That’s not the major thrust of thought as I listen to academics, economists, investors, industry professionals and politicians. But I’ve come to believe it’s true.
