Fire envelops rural Gypsum home

GYPSUM — An early morning fire Wednesday consumed an unoccupied home 13 miles south of Gypsum.The call came in about 6:30 a.m. when passersby saw smoke and flames coming from the unoccupied house, 13 miles up Gypsum Creek Road. Because there’s no cellular service in that area, they drove to a nearby residents and called 911, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s office.The residence is a complete loss.
