World Cup ski races hitting homestretch

We can all sleep better at night now.The Austrian Ski Team has recovered its honor. Now, of course, it wasn’t like the Alpine Republic fared poorly at the recent FIS Alpine World Ski Championships here earlier this month, anything but. The red, white and red won the medal count handily with five golds, three silvers and one bronze.But there was the little matter of the men’s downhill. The podium was Switzerland’s Patrick Kueng, Travis Ganong and Switzerland’s Beat Feuz.As local race fans, our general reaction was “Huzzah for Travis,” and then we continued to live a life of fulfillment.
