Battle Mountain cross-country is out like polyester today. The Huskies, under the auspices of a club team in compliance with CHSAA rules, are blowing town for Casa Grande, Arizona, south of Phoenix, for the Nike Cross Nationals Southwest Regional Southwest. This is not the first time Battle Mountain has been to this meet with teams from the Four Corners states and Nevada, but it is the first time that both the boys and the girls are competing in the black, or highest, division of the competition.
