VAIL — The Vail Golf Club will close Sunday for the season to allow golf maintenance crews to prepare the course for winter and ready the greens, fairways and tee boxes for next season. The Vail Coal Bucket Classic will return in November, weather permitting. Once the Vail Golf Club closes the Vail Nordic Center will ramp up its operations for the 2014-15 Nordic season. The Nordic Center retail shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday beginning Nov. 7 and will be selling both season passes and Nordic clothing, accessories and equipment.
