Eagle County incumbent Bettis wins coroner race

EAGLE COUNTY — Kara Bettis is still Eagle County’s coroner. In the local races that showed the sharpest elbows, Bettis topped challenger Sue Franciose. Bettis, a Democrat, won election in 2002 over another deputy coroner and ran unopposed in 2006 and 2010. “I’m thankful and honored that Eagle County has chosen me,” Bettis said. “I appreciate all the support I have received over the last 12 years, and for all the years to come.
