The Dynafit Summer Solstice 5K and 10K, taking place on Saturday, June 20, has been moved to Meadow Mountain in the Town of Minturn, and will follow the same course as the MeadowGold race that usually takes place in the fall.

The Beaver Creek course that traditionally takes place in June will now be held on Sept. 12 as the EverGold race.
Summer Solstice participants will ascend technical single track on the beautiful West Grouse Trail in Minturn.

At the high point and almost halfway through the 10K race, runners will descend to the finish on double track with scenic views of Vail Mountain and the Gore Range.

“It has been a challenging spring for everyone, but we are excited to kick off the Dynafit Trail Running Series,” says Kip Tingle, Race Director. “We have worked closely with county health officials, land managers, and race partners to create a series that will see numerous health protocols implemented and provide a safe environment for racing.

We love the opportunity to start the season where we typically finish, at Meadow Mountain, and the ability to collaborate with Beaver Creek Resort in the fall when operations are in full swing.”

Proceeds from the Summer Solstice benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund (VVCF).

This organization was created in 1996 to provide assistance to individuals who live and work in the Vail Valley who are experiencing financial hardship due to a medical crisis or long-term illness.

The VVCF has grown significantly over the past 20 years, having raised and distributed $7 million to approximately 1,400 families in our community. The majority of donations come from individuals and businesses in the Vail Valley.
Details pertaining to race format changes following Eagle County COVID-19 restrictions will be communicated to race participants. View frequently asked questions here.

Participants must preregister; there will be no day-of registration. Bib pickup events will still be held. All participants will be expected to follow strict social distancing guidelines.
