AVON — For Matt Gennett, now is a perfect time to join the town council. The Wildridge resident and former town planner is now an official member of Avon’s government after Judge Buck Allen swore him in on Tuesday. Gennett, who is now a planner for the town of Silverthorne, ran for Avon council in 2012 and was narrowly defeated by a margin of less than 10 votes. He said at that time, his platform was focused on Avon aligning with the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and rebranding itself to fit the image of a year-round recreational hub. …
