If you lived in Vail prior to 1983, dust off those cowboy hats, old photos and break out the dancing shoes for a fun-filled weekend of reminiscing and catching up. We are busy planning a great weekend full of parties and activities.

We know we might not have everyone’s contact information so please reach out to us if you need to update your information. And please pass along to anyone who is a Vail Pioneer and might not have received this email.

The Vail Chamber and Business Association is honored to continue this tradition, with the help of Master of Ceremonies – Packy Walker! We will be sending out a more formal invitation in the upcoming weeks. It will include the schedule of events, pricing, and lodging discounts with our community partners.

Pioneer Weekend Lineup

Thursday, September 21 – Early Credential Pick Up 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Lionshead Welcome Center in the bottom level of the Lionshead Parking Structure

Friday, September 22 – Early Credential Pick Up 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Lionshead Welcome Center in the bottom level of the Lionshead Parking Structure

– Welcome Cocktail Party 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Vail Square at Arrabelle in the heart of Lionshead Village.

– Special Concert by Phil Long and Dinner special at Vail Chophouse in Lionshead Village 7:00 – 10:00 pm

Saturday, September 23 – 1960’s Pioneer Breakfast Potluck 9:30 am – 11:00 am at Vendetta’s on Bridge Street. RSVP to Diana Donovan at dianamdonovan@msn.com or John Kirschner at jkvail@comcast.net . 60’s Pioneers ONLY Please.

– Special Tour of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens 10:30 am at the Ford Amphitheater. Space limited to 75 people. Please RSVP to alisonw@vailchamber.wpengine.com

– Dinner and Dancing at Dobson Ice Arena 6:00 – 10:00 pm

Sunday, September 24 – Memorial Service and Lunch at Eagle’s Nest Top of Vail Mountain. 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Upload on Lionshead Gondola at 10am. Receive your gondola ticket and lunch voucher at the base of gondola beginning at 10 am.
