Artistic director and tap dance ambassador Michelle Dorrance and her company present an evening of tap dance, live music, original choreography and sonic creation on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail. Dorrance Dance aims to honor tap dance’s history in a new and dynamically compelling context, not by stripping the form of its tradition, but by pushing it: rhythmically, aesthetically and conceptually, incorporating street, club and experimental dance forms.
