Red Table Fire south of Eagle now 50 percent contained

EAGLE — Crews are now reporting 50 percent containment on the Red Table Fire near Sylvan Lake, officials said Friday afternoon. The fire remains at 20 acres in size.The fire broke out Wednesday near Sylvan Lake, about 12 miles south of Eagle.Late Thursday, crews completely flanked the fire on the south-facing side, or right side. As of Friday afternoon, crews were close to flanking the left side of the fire.The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation, officials said.Crews were working to identify isolated, smoldering fires on the left flank.
