Lindsey Vonn took a hard fall but escaped injury on her first run of the women’s World Cup giant slalom in Aspen today, putting an abrupt end to her weekend.Vonn had previously said she wouldn’t ski the slalom races on Saturday and Sunday.She was more than half way through the course when she fell and one ski popped off. She slid on her back and crashed into safety netting on the side of the course on the Spring Pitch and Strawpile trails.“I’m fine. It’s just super annoying,” Vonn told reporters at the corral near the finish line.She gave no indication …
