PARCC test’s inaugural results less-than rosy

Colorado spends up to $78 million each year on standardized testing, and the inaugural results from the PARCC tests taught us that for our $78 million dollars we learned nothing new.Patterns on all standardized tests are also the patterns for PARCC, Thursday’s early results indicate.According to the results:Affluent white kids still score the highest.Kids living in poverty still don’t score as well.Neither do kids eligible for free and reduced lunches.Native English speakers still score better than English language learners.Released at lastAfter months of postponements, state-level results were released Thursday morning during the Colorado state school board’s November meeting.Only English and …
