AVON — On Friday, after a gorgeous evening sunset and a phenomenal blue moon rose above the Vail Valley, the BecTri Sprint Triathlon course was set and ready for racers on Saturday morning. The sun rose and warmed the swimmers who emerged from an open-water swim in Nottingham Lake. Dr. Diane Voytko, who is on the Board of the Vail Valley Charitable Fund and was volunteering on the race course, said, “It is a much warmer start this morning than in past years, which is great for the early morning swimmers.” The participants swam 400 meters, rode 15K on road …
