Avon council appoints new trails committee

AVON — If you were around last year, then you know trails are becoming an important part of the town’s summer makeup.And as an example of just how seriously the town is taking their trails, a nine-member Trails Advisory Group has been formed, with appointments made this week by the Town Council.The newly formed trail network in the West Avon Preserve near Wildridge has spurred the need for a trails committee in Avon, as the town-owned land will have to be maintained in order to keep the trails running safe and smooth.
