MINTURN — Santa made an early visit to children in need in the Minturn area Tuesday afternoon, bringing holiday cheer and plenty of cold weather clothes and other gifts. Santa, looking suspiciously like John Rosenfeld of Johnie’s Gardens, didn’t use reindeer this time. Instead, he hitched a ride on a fire engine driven by the crew from the Minturn Eagle River Fire Protection District with his toys being carried by volunteers from Steam Master.
