Calling all kids: Beaver Creek poetry contest returns

BEAVER CREEK — Tis the season to rhyme and write poetry for the annual Beaver Creek poetry contest. Beaver Creek Resort Company, the Beaver Creek Children’s Theatre Company and Blue Creek Productions are encouraging local young poets to write a poem and enter it. This year’s theme asks, “What would you wish to make the world a better place?” The winning poet will read his or her poem at the Beaver Creek Resort Company Tree Lighting Ceremony, 6 p.m. Nov. 28.
