EAGLE-VAIL — On Sunday, the Eagle-Vail Community Garden will host the fourth annual Chili Cook-off at the Eagle-Vail Pavilion from 4-6 p.m. David Courtney, two-time champion of the event, will return this year with his secret recipe. He will face off with Gil Fancher, the first crowned champion from 2010. Eagle-Vail Community Garden had a bumper crop kind of year. With 60 individual plots and 12 corporate plots, the garden was overwhelmingly abundant this summer. Gardeners grew kale, tomatoes, lettuce, squash, strawberries, beans and peas.
