The VVF Community Fund launched on April 22, with the goal to raise $450,000! The Vail Valley Foundation Board of Directors planned on matching everything raised.
The VVF and generous donors exceeded that goal by raising nearly $1,200,000 for Eagle County community members hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The money raised will be distributed to approximately 20 local nonprofits! These nonprofits represent key areas of need in the community. Research, conversations and community input they choose to offer funds to nonprofits that represent Food Insecurity; Mental & Behavioral Health; Shelter, Clothing, & Housing Assistance; and Youth Education & Programming.
If your organization falls into those categories please apply for funds! We are all in this together and this is one more example of how the Vail Valley comes together in a crisis!
