Early results: Americans take podium at World Fly Fishing Championships

VAIL – Preliminary results came in late Friday night and had the U.S. taking third, with Spain winning and France taking second in the 36th FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championships. In the individual standings, Americans Lance Egan and Pat Weiss took third and fourth, respectively, with Julien Daguillanes of France winning and Jordi Cortina of Spain taking second. A protest period went into effect at about 11 p.m. on Friday for approximately three hours for anyone who had evidence of the results being not accurate.
