Gypsum talks chickens Tuesday

GYPSUM — For a number of years, raising backyard chickens has been prohibited in Gypsum.But the increased popularity of farm fresh eggs has prompted a group of town residents to appeal that rule.Tuesday, a chicken contingent is slated to appear before the Gypsum Town Council to lobby for relaxed rules. Through flyers distributed downvalley as well as postings on popular local websites, the pro-chicken lobby has urged residents to turn out for the Gypsum Town Council’s meeting. The session begins at 7 p.m. at Gypsum Town Hall. …
