EAGLE COUNTY — Interstate 70 through the Glenwood Canyon will be open Thursday. The Colorado Department of Transportation had scheduled a highway closure for that date, but, helicopter operations for rockfall mitigation were cancelled due to challenging downdrafts. “Future closures in the canyon will now be scheduled to complete the necessary rockfall fencing work. Motorists will want to visit the Colorado Department of Transportation website, www.cotrip.org for future dates,” Project Engineer Mike Fowler said.
