Valley celebrates successful Fourth of July

EAGLE COUNTY — Towns across the county came to life during the Fourth of July holiday, and fireworks lit up the night sky with little incident, according to local police and officials.Fireworks shows at Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon and Gypsum brought crowds to the valley during the weekend.“It was a wonderful event with no issues,” Vail Police Chief Dwight Henninger said of Monday’s show. “We had a good time, the weather was wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.”Even with both Vail parking structures full and cars lining the frontage roads down to the golf course, Henninger was …
