Hospital Volunteer Corps celebrates service

VAIL — Vail Valley Medical Center’s Volunteer Corps recently celebrated their annual Volunteer Service Awards and Recognition Luncheon. In 2015, the approximately 100 active volunteers contributed over 7,500 hours in a variety of roles throughout the medical center’s numerous facilities in Eagle County. “VVMC is so grateful for the ongoing support of our volunteers, who give tirelessly of their time, energy and compassion,” said Vail Valley Medical Center President and CEO Doris Kirchner. “With their smiles and helping hands, our treasured volunteers support VVMC’s mission to provide patient-centered care at our facilities in Gypsum, Edwards, Beaver Creek, Avon and Vail. …
