VAIL – Interstate 70 eastbound is closed at mile maker 180, Vail Pass, due to multiple accidents. Estimated time of reopening was said to be at least an hour as of about 2:30 p.m. A winter storm warning, issued by the National Weather Service, remains in effect until Sunday evening. Vail Mountain was also closed for part of the day on Friday, due to lightning. It reopened at about 2 p.m. after being closed for more than two hours. …
