VAIL — A 23-year-old pedestrian is in critical condition at a Denver hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 70 in the early-morning hours Friday. The incident occurred in the eastbound lane near mile marker 175 in Vail. According to police investigators, the pedestrian was on the roadway when he was struck by a Honda SUV. The driver and a passenger, Vail residents, stopped and called 911 to report the incident. Transported to DenverThe victim is an Australian citizen visiting on a visa.
