EAGLE-VAIL — If you’ve been skiing or climbing, looked up the mountain and seen someone laughing and smiling, then chances are you’ve seen Jen Pinkus.The “sweetest athlete in Vail” could use a little help.Her friends are hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday at the Route 6 Cafe to help her with expenses from her fight with cancer.Pinkus has a cancer called follicular lymphoma. It’s a blood cancer that can be treated with antibodies and chemotherapy.“It is not usually fatal and can be managed but never goes away,” Pinkus said on her website.Her summer is already scheduled.
