Vail fuel spill cleaned fast

VAIL — A vehicle containing diesel fuel spilled approximately 50 gallons over a 400 yard section of the westbound lane on West Meadow Drive Wednesday morning. The spill was contained and cleanup efforts continued through the day. The spill occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. as RMS Cranes of Denver was working to deliver an emergency generator to Vail Valley Medical Center as part of its west wing construction project. Members of the medical center’s construction crew noticed the spill and immediately stopped the vehicle, assessed the situation, set up cones to prevent tracking and contacted the Vail Fire & Emergency …
