DENVER — Rich Perske’s decades-long fascination with the ghost town of Fulford led him to write a meticulously researched history of the community and its founders.With the assistance of the Eagle County Historical Society, Perske’s book “Boom Town to Ghost Town: The Story of Fulford” was published last year, and what started as a very personal project for the author has resulted in statewide acclaim. The publication has received honorable mention for the 2015 Josephine H. Miles History Award from History Colorado.
