VAIL — Fat bikes, balloon tires and studs will be the weapons of choice this Saturday at 10 a.m., as the Eagle-Vail Metro District Winter Mountain Bike race takes place. Racers will meet prior to the start at the Eagle-Vail Pavilion, located off of U.S. Highway 6 and 24 in Eagle-Vail, just west of Vail.This is the season’s first dedicated winter mountain bike event and the fourth race in the 2016 Pedal Power Winter Race Series.
