VAIL — It’s easy to get lost in the various hallways and sort-of hidden labs and offices at Vail Valley Medical Center. That happens in a 50-year-old facility that’s seen many additions and renovations over the decades. But what goes on in those hard-to-find areas is saving lives and, perhaps, changing medicine.When touring the hospital — now in the first phases of a $200 million expansion and renovation project — it’s good to have a tour guide.
