EAGLE — The seasonal closures on town of Eagle open space south and west of Eagle Ranch begin Tuesday and will continue through April 15.The restrictions impact the Eagle Ranch loops, as well as the third loop of Haymaker Trail and the new Extra Credit trail. The first two loops of Haymaker remain open year-round.The closures prohibit human activities and are vital to protect wintering deer and elk during critical survival times.Craig Wescoatt, District Wildlife Manager for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, said deer are particularly stressed by low temperatures and winter conditions.“Deer are essentially on a starvation diet during the …
