VAIL — A man who intervened to help the victim of a domestic violence assault in Vail is in critical condition at a Denver-area hospital, police said. At approximately 11 p.m. Sunday, Vail Police responded to a report of an unconscious man at The Sebastian Hotel at 16 Vail Road. The good Samaritan and his girlfriend, both visiting from Florida, heard a loud disturbance and witnessed a woman being assaulted by a man in the hallway of the hotel, Vail police said.
