Vilar Center STARS series hosts ‘Mistatim,’ a coming-of-age story about friendships

BEAVER CREEK — The Vilar Performing Arts Center continues its annual Supporting the Arts Reaching Students series with “Mistatim” on Friday, with two shows, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Internationally renowned group Red Sky, of Toronto, will perform “Mistatim,” a play rooted in Native American mythology. Red Sky has been continuously praised for its innovation and artistry, leading the way in world indigenous performances in dance, theatre and music.The story begins with a wooden fence, which is all that separates Calvin’s ranch and Speck’s reservation.
