High school bike racers return to Eagle course

EAGLE — High school mountain-bike competitors will return to Eagle this weekend for a warm up event to their state championships.The Haymaker Classic will feature cycling action today and Sunday with race waves starting at 9 a.m. both days. The competition will be on Eagle’s Haymaker Trail.“We will have over 700 Colorado High School Cycling League mountain biker racers, their families, coaches, staff and volunteers in town for the weekend,” said Amy Cassidy, Eagle’s marketing and events coordinator. “These guests will be staying in our hotels, camping in RVs at the Eagle County Fairgrounds and tent camping at the Eagle …
