DELTA — Welcome home, Battle Mountain soccer, sort of.The Huskies finished up their western swing with a nice 6-0 thumping in their league opener at Delta on Saturday.Combined with a 1-0 nonconference win at Montrose, Battle Mountain had a good weekend to start off the season.“Four goal scorers and a clean sheet,” Huskies coach David Cope, referring to his team’s defense and goal keeping. “Jack (Skidmore) had two shutouts and had three all of last year.
