Cordillera to host a USGA qualifier

EDWARDS — The Cordillera Valley Club will host 46 women golfers in a sectional qualifying competition for the United States Golf Association’s 54th U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. The event is today with tee times beginning at 10 a.m. Spectators are welcome.“There has been a tremendous response — our largest field ever — for a sectional-qualifier of this nature,” said Holly Russell, committee member for USGA. “I think the response is due largely to the spectacular setting and the professionalism of the staff at The Club at Cordillera.
