EAGLE — After years of declines following years of minimal growth, the town of Eagle is reporting sales tax collections through May are up 9.61 percent.Eagle has collected $1.278 million in sales tax through the first five months of this year. By category, restaurant and bar collections are up 10 percent and hotel collections are up 9 percent.Eagle Town Manager Jon Stavney noted the 2015 budget projected a 3 percent increase in sales tax, so the nearly 10 percent rise is good news. “It’s actually the best news I have heard in three years,” said Eagle Mayor Yuri Kostick.Food sales, …
