Power back up between Eagle, Avon

EAGLE COUNTY — Many residents and businesses in the mid-to-lower valley experienced a couple hours of electric power outages Monday morning, according to Holy Cross Energy.The problem is likely at the Wolcott substation, and crews were still working as of 1 p.m. to determine the exact cause of the problem.“There is a lot of protection equipment throughout the substation, and if something goes out there, it’s like tripping a breaker at home — all the power goes out.
