AVON — The Avon Summer Carnival brings fun, games and funnel cakes to town each summer. It takes place today through Sunday and is located east of City Market in Avon. Unlimited ride passes are $20 in advance and are available at the Avon Police Department, Vail Police Department, Bright Future Foundation in Avon, Marko’s Pizza in Edwards and the Samaritan Center in Edwards. A portion of the proceeds from the carnival benefit local nonprofits. This year’s beneficiaries are Battle Mountain High School’s Future Business Leaders of America, Bright Future Foundation’s Buddy Mentors Program and Samaritan Center of the Rockies. …
