VAIL — If you hustle, you can still play in this year’s Huskies and Heroes golf tournament.The 12th annual event is set for Friday at the Vail Golf Club.It started as a fundraiser for the Battle Mountain football team, and grew as a way to honor members of the military, said Bart Cuomo, one of the event organizers.The Battle Mountain Touchdown Club sponsors the event.A few years ago they started inviting some folks from Fort Carson, and now they have 30 or 40 show up with their families.The military folks appreciate it, Cuomo said, because the Fort Carson is one …
