EAGLE COUNTY — The weather was kind this year to Moses Gonzales and the event he’s shepherded for the past 14 years — the Ride in Remembrance.Gonzales, a town of Vail code enforcement officer, is retiring June 1. Just after he started with the town, he organized the ride, an event to honor local police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel who have died in the line of duty.
