Vail Daily column: Legislature increases incentives for conservation

Eagle Valley Land Trust anticipates an increase in private land conservation in Eagle County due greatly to increased incentives signed into law last week by the state legislature. For the last 13 years, since the initial state incentives were put into law, Eagle Valley Land Trust could offer private landowners only up to $375,000 (in the form of marketable tax credits) to permanently remove development rights from their land.
