DENVER — Battle Mountain track and field does long distances … in running.But on Day 1 at state in Denver, thrower David Casas went a long distance — 152 feet even — for second place in the discus and the highest individual finish for a Huskies athlete at 4A.“It’s a testament to David’s hard work and coach (Ian) Calhoun’s hard work,” Huskies head coach Rob Parish said. “They’re a great example of a partnership.
