DENVER — A ban on common procedures for making homemade hash oil is headed to the governor’s desk in Colorado. The bill would make it a felony for amateurs to make hash or marijuana concentrate using an “inherently hazardous substance” such as a flammable liquid chemical or compressed gas. Such methods have been blamed for more than 30 butane explosions linked to hash production. Just last week, an Eagle-Vail man was hospitalized after allegedly causing a fire while making a marijuana concentrate. The city of Denver already bans flammable forms of home hash production.
