Part of Gore Creek closed in Vail

VAIL — Gore Creek has been temporarily closed to boating from the Pulis Bridge, located at the intersection of South Frontage Road and Vail Valley Drive, west to the down-stream side of the Covered Bridge effective immediately due to safety hazards associated with repairs to the Covered Bridge in Vail Village. The “full use restriction order” has been enacted by the Vail Police Department.The Gore Creek restriction applies to all types of water vessels including whitewater canoes, kayaks and commercial rafts as well as air-inflated devices, such as inner tubes, air mattresses and small inflatable rafts.
