Former Eagle County Undersheriff Kenneth D. Wilson Sr. passed away April 11 in Fort Mohave, Ariz. He was born in Danville, Ill., on Jan. 31, 1937, to Carl W. and Mildred I. Wilson.He began his public service career by joining the Army, where he served eight years for his country. Ken has lived in Eagle County for multiple decades and during that time he held many community service roles: Volunteer fire department chief, ambulance service, deputy coroner, and his final role was undersheriff.He will be remembered by those who knew him as a honorable and compassionate man who lent his …
