SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah man has been arrested after video footage showed him violently beating a house cat. Authorities say 19-year-old Jordan Lindquist of Saratoga Springs was taken into custody Friday on a felony animal cruelty charge. Police called it torture and said they’re surprised the cat survived the attack. The cat was seen being shaken, grabbed by the tail, punched in the head and slammed to the ground.
