Assistant superintendent to lead Telluride schools

The Telluride R-1 School District Board of Education has announced that it has unanimously selected Michael Gass, who is currently assistant superintendent for Eagle County Schools, to be the new Telluride superintendent of schools beginning on July 1. Gass was one of 29 applicants for the position and was chosen after interviews with the board and committees comprised of parents, teachers and community members.Gass has been with Eagle County Schools since 2012.
